Reading and writing are important tools that everyone must learn. Most people learn to write in the early years of school. All people learn to read and write on different levels. The better you are able to read and write the better grades you will make in school. Reading comprehension is very important. My definition of reading comprehension is the understanding of what has been read and providing feedback. This essay will explain the following: what has made me the reader and writer I am today, what I have learned about reading and writing in my life time, things I like about reading and writing, my experiences and expectations with reading and writing.
Attending school has made me the reader and writer I am today. I began writing at an early age, at about three years of age. Well, I would not call it writing, I would call it scribble scrabble. The things I learned about reading and writing are, you need make sure you understand what you are reading and be able read your own writing. Another thing I learned about writing are, not to rush because you can mess up and it would look sloppy. When you are reading, do not read fast because people need to understand what you’re saying. When reading, I learned to speak up so people can hear.
The things I like about reading and writing. When you read it’s like a movie your head. You want to keep reading to know what is going to happen next. The things I like about writing are that you can express your feelings and you can write things down to remind you, so you will not forget. You just look at the paper and you will remember. Another thing I like about reading is that you can go somewhere and just read. I like to write because it’s fun to write, you can send notes to people and you can draw things that are interesting. The thing I like about reading and writing is that you can write a story then read that story later.
I have a little experience with reading because I read when I was little. The only time I read and write now, is when I’m at school and I got homework. The things I feel about reading and writing is I don’t like to read or write, all the time. I only read because I have to and I made a goal to read 1400 pages by the end of the school year. I have no problem with writing. My experience with reading is I need to practice reading, because you’re going to need to read when you get into college. My experience with writing is that you need to practice writing. So people can understand your hand writing when you’re in school doing your work.
